Body Lift

This procedure combines an abdominoplasty with a buttock lift. Occasionally this procedure is combined with an inner thigh lift. The surgery results in a scar which runs all the way around your body - just above the pubic hair, across your hips and then across your lower back just above each buttock. The operation removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen and the area of your "love-handles". It also lifts the outer aspect of your thighs and buttocks at the same time. The surgery often has a dramatic effect in restoring an "hour-glass" figure. It is most suitable for patients who have lost a lot of weight leaving them with lots of loose folds of skin. It may also be appropriate for other individuals who might otherwise only consider having a 'tummy tuck'. Your surgeon will determine if you are a suitable candidate for this type of surgery during your consultation. The surgery is carried out under general anaesthetic and requires a minimum of two to three nights stay in hospital.
