Collagen Injections
Injectable fillers are an effective way of smoothing out facial lines and wrinkles. They can also be used to augment areas such as the lips. Many "fillers" are available such as collagen or Restylane®. Please discuss your individual needs with your surgeon during your consultation. Treatment takes about forty-five minutes depending on the area being treated. A local anaesthetic cream will be applied one hour before the treatment and occasionally a local anaesthetic injection is used when treating a sensitive area like the lips. Allergic reactions are extremely uncommon and can be avoided with an allergy test before commencing treatment.
