Cheek Implants
A cheek implant is used to raise the profile of the cheekbone and can provide an
attractive facial enhancement. The operation involves inserting an implant over the
cheekbone through an incision inside the mouth where the inside of the cheek meets
the upper teeth. The implant can also be inserted through the inside of the lower
eyelid. The implant is usually made of silicone although other materials can be
used. The operation is generally carried out under general anaesthetic.
