Mini-Face Lift
One of the most recent developments in facial cosmetic surgery has been the
mini-facelift which is also known as the MACS-lift or S-lift. It is designed
to redefine the contour of the jaw line and tighten the cheek skin. It does not
improve loose skin on the neck and is therefore only suitable if your main ageing
features are confined to the face. The main feature of this procedure is the short
scar which is limited to the skin crease in front of the ear. A mini-facelift can be
combined with a blepharoplasty or with liposuction under the chin to rejuvenate the whole
face. This type of facelift can be carried out under general anaesthetic as a day case
procedure or even under local anaesthetic with sedation since this is a more limited
procedure. The recovery time is also shorter than a conventional facelift.
