Fat Transfer
Fat transfer is a technique where a small amount of fat is removed by liposuction from one area of your body (such as your stomach) and injected into another area. It is used to improve the appearance of wrinkles or deep lines on your face. It can also improve sunken cheeks and other areas of depressions in the skin. It is an excellent method for filling out lips and can also be used to fill out the tissues on the back of your hands to give them a more youthful appearance. Unlike other temporary fillers such as collagen or Restylane®,the main advantage of a fat transfer is that in the majority of cases the effect is permanent. Small areas can usually be treated under local anaesthetic but larger areas may require a general anaesthetic.
